A durable refractometer with a linear Zeiss scale for precise measurement of finished beer, wine or cider when compared to a standard "non-linear" Brix model.  The advantage of the Zeiss scale is that the graticles lines (or scale lines) are evenly spaced across the whole range making it easier for the user to interpret the borderline position when compared to using the more compressed lines at the lower end of the Brix scale.
