Notes
- The Clifton® Gable lid has been designed allowing full use of whole width of a Clifton® water bath with the lowest height of the gable being 45mm above the bath. This unique feature means test tube racks or flasks can be placed across the whole width of the bath without fouling the lid maximising the bath working area.
- Designed with customer in mind ensuring where condensation accumulates in use there are no drip points which could spoil work in open flasks in your Clifton water bath.
- Water evaporation is reduced at elevated temperatures, maintaining water levels in the Clifton water bath.
- Where an accessory TC-1 Thermometer is used the temperature can be read from the thermometer with the lid in place.
- Lid fits into the tank ensuring all condensation runs back into the bath and not down the side onto your bench top.
- Reduces energy consumption and running costs for your Clifton water bath.

- The hinged lid has the added advantage where bench space is limited, the lid hinges back to the vertical position to access the bath where as a conventional lid requires lifting off the bath and placing on your bench top.
- With continuous sampling work a conventional lid has to be removed frequently to access samples/work this hinged lid is designed with this in mind.
- The Lid hinges back to just over vertical position as in image above.
Features and Benefits
Clifton® Stainless steel hinged Gable Lids reduces evaporation, assists in keeping samples in a water bath free from contamination and saves energy. These stainless steel gable lids with a high profile design allows extended use of the bath, right into the edges of the tank. No drip points and condensate returns back into the bath.
Hinged lids have a number of benefits in use over lift off lids, these simply hinge open, any condensation collects in the lid, samples can be easily removed or placed in water bath. Close the lid and all the collected condensation runs into rear of the water bath. No mess.
