The R38 Basic PID Set-point Controller is used in the Apex Ovens together with a thermocouple sensor.

STANDARD FEATURES

The 301 PID furnace controller has a large display mounted behind a smooth wipe-clean membrane and offers a single ramp to set point.

It includes a 99 hour process timer which can be programmed for a timed delay at the start of the process or used as a countdown timer.

  • Optional over-temperature protection with a variable set point to protect either the furnace or load; selection of this option provides an additional independent thermocouple and protection circuit
  • RS232 communications, permitting a single controller to communicate with a PC


TECHNICAL DATA


The 301 furnace controller provides precise PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) control meaning that ramp rates and set points are very closely followed.

The 132 furnace controller is mainly used as an over-temperature protection device.

All Carbolite Gero furnaces and ovens are designed to 'fail safe' should control of the elements fail. None the less, use of an over-temperature protection device is recommended for situations where there will be unattended operation of the device or simply where protection of valuable loads or the furnace is required.

The 132 furnace controller is also used in some other products, for example where space does not permit the use of a larger format controller or when it is used as an end zone 'slave' controller for 3 zone tube furnaces.

  • Unattended operation of the device or simply where protection of valuable loads or the furnace is required.
  • The unit is fitted with a separate thermocouple and operates a contacter in the event of the set temperature being exceeded.
