In addition to ultrasonic cleaning technology, steam jet technology is another core competence of Elma. Our experts develop steam cleaning machines for the specific application using a lot of know-how.
The products provide up to 8 bar steam pressure and are reliable support for precleaning in the medical hygiene area or also in the jewellery, watches and industrial areas. Special accessories make this technology very easy to use: there are units with fixed nozzle or with flexible hand piece.

With 4.5 bar steam pressure even sensitive parts are safely and effectively cleaned, as the steam is free of any chemicals and due to its high temperature contaminations are easily removed. The steam contains more water and thus melts and removes easily hardened fats, oils or waxes from the parts. In the field of watches and jewellery, Elmasteam 4.5 basic is suited to clean worn and mounted jewellery as well as watch straps, jewellery chains and rings - also with set stones. In industry and workshop, Elmasteam 4.5 basic is used to clean engine parts, tools and components during the overhaul. Dental prostheses are steam-cleaned during the individual production steps in dental laboratories.
In order to reduce maintenance effort and to extend service intervalls, it is recommended to use demineralised or distilled water. If mains water is used, water filtering cartridges by Brita (optional accessory) can be used. Therefore and provided that the steam device is used in singleshift- operation, there is a warranty period of 3 years for Elmasteam 4.5 basic steam cleaning devices.

The compact Elmasteam 8 basic with 8 bar steam pressure is the ideal steam cleaning machine for smooth and environmentally friendly pre- and final cleaning tasks.
the Elmasteam 8 basic is ready for even challenging cleaning tasks. The individually adjustable Eco-mode ensures that the unit closes automatically down to 3 bar operating pressure in order to save energy and cost. Cleaned parts can be easily dried with the optionally integrated compressed air function. For more user safety, Elmasteam 8 basic has an integrated, automatic Lock-mode. Water can be filled via the integrated funnel in the tank or with the optional water connection via the rear connection and the integrated pump. Regular decalcifications increase reliability in operation and the product-life of the heating. The decalcification programme can be easily started in Service-mode. Occuring sediments can be rinsed out following the operating instructions and using the rinsing set. QUALITY and SAFETY are top priorities at Elma. This means, only tried and tested components and high quality materials are used. And therefore we give on our quality product Elmasteam 8 basic 3 years warranty. |
Certain instruments, such as burrs, drills and electro-surgical instruments, often do not become sufficiently clean in the standard washing and disinfecting unit. The Elmasteam 8 med* steam jet cleaner is the ideal tool to pre-clean such instruments and smoothly removes even tenacious contaminations like burnt-in tissue on electro-surgical forceps.** During cleaning, germs are reduced by 99.875 % and proteins by 97 % (Prüfinstitut HygCen Austria, 06/2017). So the valuable instruments are preserved for longer time. The insides of hollow body instruments can be connected directly to the Luer-Lock-connection at the handpiece or can be cleaned with the optionally available adapter set. The high performance of the Elmasteam 8 med is due to the optimised piping system with larger cross sections, the intelligent pump control, the increased heating power (60% more) as well as the optimised heating position. The intelligent control system of the Elmasteam 8 med calculates, by means of preset water hardness and the intensity and frequency of use, the proper time for decalcification. The user is led step by step through the decalcification process. Due to this integrated decalcification programme and the protection against dry running of the heating, the Elmasteam 8 med is highly reliable and fit for use for a long time. By taking these measures and provided that the unit is being operated properly and in one-shift operation, the usual warranty can be extended to 3 years. |
