This premium model features lab-grade accuracy across the full range of refractive index, Brix, or user-defined concentration scale. Data can be transmitted to a PLC for system automation. This model can be installed in the pipe lines of refill tanks, cleaning solution tanks, dilution, mixing, and blending tanks of manufacturing plants that produce liquid products such as the food and medicine industries, as well as those used in all kinds of industrial applications. This makes the unit capable of continuously monitoring items such as the refractive index, Brix, concentration and moisture, and mixture ratio of a variety of liquids. It has been enhanced with a wider than ever Brix measurement range of 0.00 to 100.00% and an accuracy of ± 0.05%

The PRM-100α works by measuring the light refraction between the prism on the detection section and the liquid running through the pipe where it is installed. This instrument can be mounted directly on the pipe or on a bypass. Process refractometers are indispensable in food, beverage and pharmaceutical plants for checking actual product, as well as serving to measure and control concentrations of industrial solutions such as cutting oils, quenches, and washes. The unit reads samples in refractive index, Brix, or a user-defined concentration, and also displays temperature. Data outputs allow you to automatically control mixing ratios.
The unit measures the refraction of light generated between the prism surface and a liquid sample. The PRM-100α is upgraded from the PRM-85 in the following aspects:
- Wider than ever 0.0 to 100.00% Brix range
- Improved measurement accuracy: Brix ±0.05%, nD ±0.00010
- Two options for setting the minimum indication decimal place
- Simple two-piece construction: detection section and operation display section
- Easy-to-read colour display panel.
Simply attach the unit to a piping system to monitor food or beverage production, pharmaceutical production, industrial fluid, washing devices, dilution/mixing devices, etc. Continuously monitor water content and mixing ratio with successive measurements of refractive index, Brix, or concentration.
*The prism is specially designed to prevent solid materials from collecting on the surface, even after extended periods of use.
